Williams stars at Comedy arts fest

Smothers Brothers, Lewis also to be feted

The U.S. Comedy Arts Festival will honor Robin Williams with the AFI Star Award for excellence in film and television.

Past winners of the AFI Star include Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Albert Brooks and Steve Martin.

Williams will join his “Good Morning, Vietnam” director Barry Levinson as a yukfest honoree. Other comics to be feted include the Smothers Brothers and Jerry Lewis.

The fest, now in its sixth year, will be held in Aspen, Colo., Feb. 9-13.
