U, Jersey Shore get ‘High’ on Wu-Tang

Abraham to pen; Garr, Ellis to co-produce pic

Universal Pictures and Jersey Shore have bought the pitch “How High” based on an idea by the Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man and Redman, who are also attached to star.

Scribe Dustin Lee Abraham will pen the script about two guys who smoke some pot, which makes them so intelligent they get into Harvard. After they enroll at the Ivy League college, they run out of the drug and have to depend on their wits to succeed.

Pic is being co-produced by Shauna Garr and Redman’s manager James Ellis.

Jersey Shore president Jonathan Weisgal and Universal senior VP Mary Parent are the executives who brought in the project.

Abraham previously wrote “The House,” which is set up at John Wells’ feature company at Warner Bros. First Look’s upcoming “The Runner” is based on the Las Vegas native’s life as a runner in the gambling mecca.

Abraham was repped in the deal by Paradigm.
