The Sundance Film Festival is accepting entries for its 2000 fest running Jan. 20-30 in Park City, Utah, the Sundance Institute announced Wednesday at the Independent Feature Film Market.
Submissions are being accepted in the short film category until Oct. 1, and in the dramatic, foreign and documentary feature film categories until Oct. 8. Documentary and dramatic features will compete for the Grand Jury Prize, the Cinematography Award, the Filmmakers Trophy Award, the Directors’ Award and audience awards. Dramatic features are also eligible for the Screenwriters Award.
“The scope of independent film is broader than it’s ever been,” said fest director of programming Geoffrey Gilmore. “We expect to see as wide a range of entries for the 2000 Sundance Film Festival as we’ve ever had and look forward to the contribution that digital filmmaking will bring to the screen.”
