Gloria Reuben will star opposite Ray Liotta in director Harley Cokliss’ indie pic “Pilgrim.” Reuben will play a painter who befriends Liotta’s character, helping him regain his lost memory. Pic, produced by David Bixler, is lensing in Mexico.

Reuben, best known for her role in NBC’s “ER,” is repped by the Gersh Agency.

Dennis Haysbert has inked to join Julianna Margulies, Kyra Sedgwick and Alfre Woodard in the indie “What’s Cooking” from writer/director Gurinder Chadha. Haysbert will play Woodard’s adulterous husband.

Haysbert will next appear on the big screen in two Columbia pics –“The Thirteenth Floor” for producer Roland Emmerich and “Random Hearts” starring Harrison Ford.

Haysbert was repped on the deal by Lorrie Bartlett of the Gersh Agency, Michael P. Levine of Levine Management and Carlos Goodman of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols and Adler.

Actress-comedienne Jackie Guerra has landed a role in Alfonso Arau’s “Picking Up the Pieces.” Guerra joins Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Fran Drescher, Lou Diamond Phillips, Kiefer Sutherland, David Schwimmer and Kathy Kinney. Guerra also recently shot a pilot for her own talk show, “The Jackie Guerra Show” for Telemundo.

Guerra’s previous screen credits include “Selena,” and the indie “Eat Your Heart Out.” She was repped on the “Pieces” deal by Patty Woo at HWA/GML and manager Holly Lebed at Himber Entertainment.

Curtis Armstrong has joined the cast of Spyglass Entertainment’s “Shanghai Noon” starring Jackie Chan for director Tom Dey. He joins Lucy Liu and Owen Wilson in the western in which Liu plays a kidnapped Chinese princess in the old West.

Armstrong’s previous credits include “Risky Business” and the “Revenge of the Nerds” franchise. He also has a recurring role on WB’s “Felicity.”
