Diana Scarwid has joined the cast of DreamWorks’ “What Lies Beneath” for director Robert Zemeckis. Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer star in the supernatural murder mystery.

Scarwid, who was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar for 1980’s “Inside Moves,” also appeared in 1981’s “Mommie Dearest” as Christina Crawford, and 1983’s “Silkwood.” More recently, she appeared in HBO’s “From the Earth to the Moon” and “If These Walls Could Talk.” She is repped by the Gersh Agency and Handprint Entertainment.

Aussie actress Sarah Wynter will star opposite Eric Roberts in TNT’s sci-fi thriller “Gabriel’s Run” from director Geoff Murphy (“Under Siege II”) and producer David Rosemont. Wytner will play a bounty hunter hired to hunt down Roberts, with whom she eventually falls in love.

Wynter will soon be seen co-starring alongside Winona Ryder and Ben Chaplin in New Line’s “Lost Souls” about a woman who learns of a conspiracy whereby the devil will be able to walk the earth in human form. Wynter will play crime journo Chaplin’s love interest. Her other credits include John Duigan’s forthcoming “Molly” with Elisabeth Shue and MGM’s “Species 2.”

Karyn Parsons, who starred alongside Will Smith on NBC’s long-running series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” will now star opposite longtime “Saturday Night Live” cast member Tim Meadows in Par’s “The Ladies Man.”

Reginald Hudlin directs the pic based on Meadow’s SNL sketch about a swinging, yet clueless, bachelor. Lorne Michaels will serve as exec producer. “SNL’s” Will Ferrell also co-stars.

Parsons has appeared in Universal’s “Major Payne” opposite Damon Wayans and the Kid n’ Play comedy, “Class Act.” She is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates.

Ali Landry, best known for hawking Doritos in the chips’ comical TV spots, has landed a feature role in Destination Films’ “Beautiful” alongside Minnie Driver. Sally Field makes her helming debut on the pic from scribe John Bernstein.

Landry will play a reigning Miss America in the story set in the beauty pageant world. Landry’s other credits include recurring roles on the syndie “Pensacola: Wings of Gold,” and co-hosting duties on UPN’s “America’s Greatest Pets.” Fittingly, Landry has also co-hosted Miss USA, Miss Universe and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Arden Myrin has joined the cast of New Line’s “A Leonard Cohen Afterworld” from tyro helmer James Cox and scribe Scott Rosenberg.

Pic follows two twentysomething guys (Jared Leto and Jake Gyllenhaal) who embark on a journey from Las Vegas to Seattle to attend the funeral of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Michael De Luca and Donna Langley exec produce.

Myrin was previously a series regular on NBC’s “Working.” She is repped by the Sarkes/Kernis Co. and Paradigm.

Doug Hutchison, who will appear in Castle Rock’s upcoming “The Green Mile,” is joining their action comedy “Bait” starring Jamie Foxx.

Foxx plays a man used as bait by the FBI to lure a master criminal into their clutches. Hutchison will play the man on the lam. The film, skedded to begin filming in the next few weeks, also stars Kris Kristofferson and David Paymer.

Hutchison’s other credits include “Con Air,” and “A Time to Kill,” and TV stints on the “X-Files,” “Millennium” and “Party of Five.”
