“NYPD Blue” producer Steven Bochco, filmmaker George Lucas and 20th Century Fox chairman and CEO Bill Mechanic will be among those feted at Women In Film’s second annual Martini Shot Mentor Awards.
Recognizing men in the biz who have strongly supported women’s efforts to achieve success in Hollywood, the kudofest fundraiser will be held Dec. 1 at Universal Studios. All proceeds will benefit WIF’s film scholarship and film completion funds.
Other recipients of this year’s Martini nods — named after the popular industry phrase describing a filmmaker’s last shot of the day — include Danny DeVito and Forest Whitaker.
“We’re thrilled that Women In Film can honor these very special men who’ve been instrumental in helping to break the glass ceiling in our business,” said award chair Lucy Webb.
