NEW YORK — Leisure Time Features, the Gotham-based indie distribution company, has acquired all U.S. rights to Francois Ozon’s first feature, “Sitcom,” and “The Wounds,” the latest film from “Pretty Village, Pretty Flame” director Srdjan Dragojevic.
Both films will screen in the New Directors/New Films series, which runs from March 26 to April 11 in New York.
“Sitcom” is a black comedy about a bourgeois family whose lives are radically altered when the father brings home a pet rat.
“Wounds” is based on a true story about two underage criminals working their way up the gangland ladder in Belgrade.
Leisure Time plans to release “Sitcom” theatrically in June and “The Wounds” in September.
The company is currently distributing Cedric Klapisch’s “Un Air De Famille,” in association with Cinema Village” and Youssef Chahine’s “Destiny.”
