Los Angeles Lakers player Rick Fox’s 17 Prods., along with Galilay Entertainment, has begun lensing “Four Faces of God,” a short film by Anthony Hartman.
The pic marks Fox’s producing and Hartman’s directing debuts. Fox is familiar with film sets, as he has appeared in “Blue Chips” and “He Got Game.”
Cast includes Leon (“Waiting to Exhale”), model James King, Robert LaSardo (“Waterworld”) and William Knight (“Stargate”).
“Four Faces” was written by Hartman and Jango Sircus, based on a short story by Hartman. Fox and Gregory Palumbo serve as the film’s executive producers, while Jack Gilardi Jr. and Dallas Hartman produce.
Pic examines a fateful day in the lives of a homeless drifter (Leon), a drug dealer, his female counterpart in crime, a junkie and a priest, whose destinies intersect.
Said Fox of the script: “A lot of scripts have been submitted to me, but Anthony’s was the first that excited me. I believe in him. That’s very important for me. So much of the success I’ve had as an actor and now as a producer comes from being around people whom I respect as artists and individuals.”
