NEW YORK — Revelations Entertainment, the production shingle headed by actor Morgan Freeman and producer Lori McCreary, has opened a Gotham-based development office, which will be headed by Jan Harrison.
“I feel that New York is a place of enormous talent, and I am thrilled to be in this new position,” Harrison said. “Our presence here is especially important to communities who have not had access to the typical Hollywood inroads.”
A former actress, Harrison became a well-known Gotham art dealer and recognized specialist in African-American and Asian-American fine art. She is developing “The Saga of Molly Welsh” as a telepic. She has brought in Rudolf Fisher’s Harlem-based mystery “The Conjure Man Is Dead” for Revelations to produce.
Freeman and McCreary launched Revelations three years ago. Its maiden production was the Freeman-Gene Hackman starrer “Under Suspicion,” now in post-production.
