RTV profit up 90% in first half of year
RTV Family Entertainment has announced a 90% increase in profits for the first half of the year. Overall revenue was DM18 million ($9.8 million), compared with last year’s $8.3 million, while profits were $3.44 million.
Most of the company’s win came from license sales and children’s productions like “Inspector Mouse,” “Philipp,” “Fix & Foxi” and “Brothers Flub.”
Foreign business rose by 180% to $2.9 million. The Ravensburg-based RTV also announced it is planning the acquisition of production and programming companies later this year.
Helkon heads for stox
Staying in trend with many other German entertainment companies, Helkon Media has announced it is heading for the stock market in the fall.
The Munich-based production company and distributor, which is bringing out the fictional Dr. Mengele trial “After the Truth” next month, is planning to release further details on Aug. 24.
