Lia Vollack has been upped to senior veep of creative affairs at Columbia Pictures Music.
Vollack will oversee all the music for Sony’s films, crafting soundtracks, selecting composers and developing musicvideos. Current projects for Vollack include fine-tuning upcoming winter releases “Girl, Interrupted” and “Stuart Little.”
“It is extremely gratifying to recognize Lia’s enthusiasm, hard work and remarkable talent with this promotion,” said Columbia Pictures Music exec VP Burt Berman.
Most recently, as veep of the company’s creative affairs division, Vollack helped design the soundtrack to the Martin Lawrence starrer “Blue Streak.” Since first teaming with Columbia Pictures in 1997, Vollack has also created soundtracks for the pics “Godzilla,” “Can’t Hardly Wait” and “Cruel Intentions.”
Previously, Vollack worked as a freelance music supervisor and editor on pics “The Usual Suspects” and “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.”
