USA Networks has tapped Sinclair finance VP Michael Sileck as chief financial officer. The appointment reunites him with former Sinclair Broadcasting chief Barry Baker, who was named president and chief operating officer of USA Networks Inc. in February, as well as a handful of other former Sinclair employees.
Sileck will report to the New York-based office on Sept. 13.
“I am delighted that Mike will be joining USA Networks,” said Stephen Brenner, prexy of operations. “He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the financial management of media enterprises. Mike will be a major asset to the organization, structure and management of the company.”
At the Baltimore-based Sinclair, Sileck headed financial operations for the 60 television station and 50 radio station groups.
Prior to that, Sileck helped Baker found River City Broadcasting as director of finance with $5.5 million of seed money and helped engineer the sale of River City’s assets to Sinclair for $1.2 billion six years later.
