David Rudolph has been upped to the newly created position of VP and general manager, Turner South, the new regional entertainment cable service of TBS Inc.
As director of business development for TBS Superstation, Rudolph oversaw the development of Turner South, which launched Oct. 1. In his new post, he will be responsible for all daily operations of the new network, including programming, budget and personnel. Based in Atlanta, Rudolph will report to Bradley Siegel, president of general entertainment networks, TBS, Inc.
Rudolph joined TBS, Inc. in July 1996 as an analyst in Turner Entertainment Group’s strategic planning unit.
Turner South presents a mix of original programming, movies, sitcoms, regional news and sports to cable and DBS affiliates in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and regions of North Carolina.
