HOLLYWOOD — PorchLight Entertainment has hired multiple Emmy Award-winning producer Joe Broido for the new position of senior vice president, filmed entertainment.
Broido will oversee all of PorchLight’s development and production of live action features for theatrical release. He will also oversee movies and series for network, cable and syndication, as well as international co-productions.
Broido previously worked with Alexander/Enright & Associates, where he executive produced the 1998 Peabody-nominated CBS TV movie “Point Last Seen,” starring Linda Hamilton.
Broido served as exec producer and producer on many projects, including the ABC miniseries “Family Pictures,” starring Anjelica Huston and Sam Neill and “Caroline?” the Emmy-winning CBS/Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie starring Stephanie Zimbalist.
PorchLight recently produced such films as “Wild Grizzly,” starring Daniel Baldwin, Michele Greene and Fred Dryer and “Stranger in Town,” a Showtime movie starring Harry Hamlin.
PorchLight was formed in 1995 by Bruce Johnson and William Baumann.
