Beverly Nix has been recruited for the newly created post of senior VP of business affairs at NBC Studios.
Nix will oversee all program acquisitions and co-productions, including deals for pilots, series, telepics, minis and license fee agreements. The studio currently has seven primetime series in production for the upcoming fall season.
“Beverly has earned an outstanding reputation during her many years in the production industry and will do a great job of addressing the issues affecting our business as we continue to expand operations at NBC Studios,” said Harold Brook, exec VP, business affairs.
Most recently, Nix was a business affairs veep at ABC and, before that, worked three years as senior VP at Columbia TriStar Television.
Other stints include 14 years at Warner Bros. Television, rising through the ranks to eventually land the senior VP post of its business affairs department. While there, Nix supervised the studio’s annual operating budgets, personnel issues and legal activities.
