Nick Movies ups 3 exex

Prod'n, development crew adds Spector, Naito, Stallings

HOLLYWOOD — In a move to strengthen its production and development team on the West Coast, Nickelodeon Movies has upped three execs, Nick film and TV prexy Albie Hecht announced Wednesday.

Nick’s Share Stallings was named veepee of animated features, Ricki Spector was promoted to exec director, and Ramsey Naito assumes the title of senior producer for animated features.

“I’m really glad we can beef up our L.A. presence,” said Julia Pistor, senior veepee for Nick Movies, adding that she expected Nickelodeon to boost its slate of pics to “at least one, and if we’re lucky, two a year.”

Stallings will oversee Nick’s existing slate of Nick cable channel-derived animation projects, as well as developing new features. Prior to joining Nick, she had served as head of DreamWorks’ direct-to-video animated projects and specials.

Spector, a former director of creative affairs at MGM, will focus her efforts on live-action film development.

Naito, who had served as unit production manager for Par’s “South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut,” will work alongside Stalling in developing animation and supervising production. All three will report directly to Pistor.
