Miller tapped sr. VP of Disney products

Exec to o'see development of marketing, branding

HOLLYWOOD — Robyn Miller, senior marketing exec at Buena Vista Home Entertainment, has been tapped senior veep, global marketing and studio development, for Disney consumer products.

In her new role, Miller will oversee development of worldwide marketing and branding strategies for all of Disney consumer products’ businesses: licensing, the Disney Store, Disney publishing worldwide, Walt Disney Art Classics and Disney Interactive.

She will also oversee the development of consumer products strategies for Disney entertainment properties.

Good leader

“Robyn’s extensive knowledge of the retail marketplace and her great understanding of the Disney brand make her a natural for this position,” said Susan Butterworth, executive veep, creative development and marketing worldwide. “She will be an invaluable leader for the marketing team as we move forward with our full slate of business initiatives.”

At BVHE, Miller most recently was senior veep of worldwide marketing and oversaw creative strategies and product development for all prerecorded homevideo and DVD products.

Prior to that, she headed up BVHE’s international marketing division, and was one of the key architects of the marketing campaigns for vids “The Lion King,” “Aladdin” and “The Jungle Book.”

Miller joined Disney in 1985 as product manager in the domestic home video division of Buena Vista Home Video. While there, she also served as director, then veep and senior veep of marketing.

Before joining Disney, Miller was director of international marketing at Max Factor & Co.
