Charles Meister has been tapped CEO at post-production and sound design shop SoundStorm.
In the new post, Meister will oversee all business and legal affairs for the Burbank-based company. He will also spearhead new ventures for the company, including introducing SoundStorm services to the television, multimedia and theme park industries.
Most recently, Meister served six years as prexy of post-production facility Soundelux. While there, Meister inked more than 100 film pacts, landing deals for pics “Braveheart,” “Face/Off” and “Prince of Egypt.” He left the post in June 1998.
Previously, Meister was director of operations at RKO Pictures, getting his career start in commercial banking and securities on Wall Street.
“Charlie is a uniquely talented and experienced executive in the entertainment industry, and we are delighted that he is joining us at this significant stage of SoundStorm’s growth and development,” said SoundStorm co-owner Bruce Stambler.
SoundStorm projects include the Brendan Fraser starrer “Dudley Do-Right,” “The Bone Collector” with Denzel Washington and “The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.”
