Kemp, Tyson are sound for Disney

Award winners making noise at Mouse House

Walt Disney Studios Post Production Services Sound has appointed Larry Kemp as supervising sound editor and Elliot Tyson as lead re-recording mixer on Dubbing Stage A at the Walt Disney Studios.

Kemp won the Golden Reel Award for his work as supervising sound editor on Disney’s 1996 animated hit “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and is also an Emmy recipient. His other feature credits as supervising sound editor include “A Civil Action,” “Pocahontas” and “Bull Durham.”

Tyson won an Oscar for his work on the film “Glory.” As a re-recorder mixer, Tyson’s feature credits include “The Shawshank Redemption,” “Mississippi Burning,” “City of Angels,” “Tin Cup” and “Steel Magnolias.”

Before joining Walt Disney, Kemp worked at Soundelux, beginning in 1987. Tyson worked at Warner Hollywood for 22 years prior to joining Disney.
