John W. Lynn has been upped to VP, MTV animation. In his new role, Lynn will be responsible for supervising all the company’s producers and projects. Additionally, he will continue to serve as supervising producer of MTV Animation and producer of “Celebrity Deathmatch.”

Prior to joining MTV in 1992, Lynn helped produce, “Beavis and Butt-Head” and “Daria.” He also served as sound designer on the ani feature, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.”

Miramax Films has upped David Schulhof to the post of veepee of motion picture music and legal affairs.

Schulhof will report directly to Miramax senior VP of motion picture music Randy Speedlove.

Pearson Television’s Dan Watanabe, has been upped to veep, current programming. In his new post, Watanabe will continue to oversee production of “Baywatch Hawaii,” as well as development of drama programming for both domestic and foreign markets.

Wanatabe has been with Pearson since 1991. Previously, he was a freelance story analyst for New Line, Indieprod and Vestron.
