Conde Nast CEO Steve Florio continues his game of musical chairs with the company’s publishers. Florio has named Architectural Digest publisher Peter Hunsinger as publisher-veep of Vanity Fair.
On Monday, Florio upped Vanity Fair publisher Mitchell Fox to head of corporate sales and moved Bride’s publisher Deborah Fine over to Glamour to cover the same post.
Meanwhile, S.I. Newhouse, chairman of Conde Nast parent company Advance Publications, named former Glamour publisher Mary Berner president and CEO of Fairchild Publications, which Advance recently acquired from Disney (Daily Variety, Aug. 25).
Before moving over to Architectural Digest in ’97, Hunsinger spent 15 years at the Conde Nast food glossy Gourmet, where he worked his way up from sales rep to publisher.
For the time being, the AD and Bride’s publisher slots remain open.
