Borsiczky Shiffs coasts

Carlisle takes story editor post

Jessika Borsiczky, a former Gotham-based exec for HBO NYC Prods., has moved west and joined Disney-based Paul Schiff Prods. as a VP of production.

Schiff also hired Chris Carlisle, a former William Morris Agency assistant, as a story editor.

Schiff said she tapped Borsiczky to capitalize on her legit and publishing contacts as well as her film relationships developed through HBO.

Borsiczky will scout material and projects to bring into Schiff’s company. She joins senior VP Matt Berenson on the staff.

Schiff’s company, which has a number of projects in development at Disney, was one of the producers on Wes Anderson’s “Rushmore.”

At HBO, Borsiczky was instrumental in the development and production of several pics, including “Witness Protection,” “When Trumpets Fade,” “Subway Stories,” “If These Walls Could Talk,” “Miss Evers’ Boys,” “Pentagon Wars” and the Christopher Reeves-helmed “In the Gloaming.”

Her deal was brokered by attorney Jodie Piekoff of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols & Adler.
