A.H. Belo Corp. has restructured its operations, moving Cathleen Creany to senior vice president of its broadcast division.
Also, Richard Keilty and Dennis Williamson have been named senior vice presidents of Belo’s Television Group.
Creany, who will handle the division’s administrative, development, industry and civic initiatives, will report to Belo vice chairman and broadcast division prexy Ward Huey, who made the announcement Tuesday.
Creany had served as senior vice president of Belo’s Television Group since 1997. Before that, she was vice president and general manager at the company’s flagship WFAA-TV, Dallas. She joined the company in 1992 as VP-G.M. at WFAA.
“Cathy’s operating knowledge, management experience and tenure with Belo make her an ideal executive for this important new assignment,” Huey said.
Keilty and Williamson, along with Glenn Wright, also senior vice president at the Television Group, will oversee Belo’s 20 TV stations and its NorthWest Cable News.
Keilty has served as president-G.M. at Belo’s WCNC-TV, Charlotte, N.C., since May 1997. Williamson has been president-G.M. at Belo’s KING-TV, Seattle, since 1997. Both will report to Jack Sander, president of Belo’s Television Group.
All three appointments become effective Jan. 1.
