ABC Sports ups Wagner

Exec named marketing/development veep

Teri Wagner has been upped to VP of strategic marketing and development for ABC Sports, the Alphabet web announced Wednesday.

Wagner will work with various ABC Sports departments to “pursue marketing rights acquisition(s), leverage the existing rights of ABC Sports properties, and execute the marketing plans in conjunction with ABC’s rights-holders and sponsors,” the net said in a statement announcing Wagner’s promotion from director of marketing for ABC Sports.

Before joining ABC in 1995, Wagner held various sales and marketing positions, including gigs at CBS Radio and Time Warner.

Wagner will report to ABC Sports exec VP and general manager Brian McAndrews.
