UPN serves up superheroes

'X-Men,' 'Spider-Man,' 'Hulk' ready to roll on Sundays

UPN will add three Marvel series, “X-Men,” “Spider-Man” and “Incredible Hulk & Friends,” plus the Saban Entertainment series “BeetleBorgs” to its Sunday-morning kids lineup this fall.

A start date for the new UPN Kids Sunday programming block, to run 9-11 a.m., will be announced soon.

“BeetleBorgs” (9-9:30 a.m.) is a live-action series revolving around three children — Drew, Jo and Roland — and their enthusiastic interest in a comic book series called BeetleBorgs. “Incredible Hulk & Friends” (9:30-10 a.m.) is an animated half-hour using episodes from UPN’s “The Incredible Hulk” plus vintage episodes of Marvel Comics’ the Fantastic Four and Iron Man.

“X-Men” (10-10:30 a.m.) is an animated half-hour series based on the lives of heroes and villains such as Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, Beast and Jubilee.

“Spider-Man” (10:30-11 a.m.) is an animated half-hour series following the adventures of Marvel Comics’ first modern superhero, Super-Man, and his alter ego, Peter Parker.
