NEW YORK — ABC will produce “R.L. Stine’s Night Terror” with the Sanitsky Co. and Parachute Entertainment.
The deal was announced Friday by Susan Lyne, ABC’s exec veepee for movies and miniseries.
The original miniseries will be the first effort from bestselling young adult author Stine (“Goosebumps” and “Fear Street”) targeting adult primetime.
Telepic will be set in a medical clinic devoted to treatment of night terrors, which drive victims to madness.
Executive producers are Larry Sanitsky (“The Last Don I and II”) and Parachute Entertainment’s chairman Joan Waricha and prexy Jane Stein.
Deal was brokered by ICM’s Nancy Josephson and attorneys Robert Thorne and Gregory Redlitz of Thorne and Co.
