Pair of telepix roll for Lifetime cabler

Lensing skedded to begin this week

Lensing begins this week on a pair of original telefilms earmarked for Lifetime cable: “Love Is Strange,” starring Kate Nelligan, Julie Harris and Ron Silver, and “Hobson’s Choice,” featuring “China Beach” alumna Marg Helgenberger and her husband, Alan Rosenberg. Both pics are skedded to premiere later this year.

“Love Is Strange” (filming in Portland, Ore.) stars Nelligan and Silver as a divorced couple drawn back together when she is diagnosed with cancer. Annette Haywood-Carter directs from a teleplay by Kenneth Carter and her. Cari-Esta Albert is the executive producer.

“Hobson’s Choice” (being shot in Toronto) casts Helgenberger as a lawyer haunted by the sudden death of her husband (Rosenberg), even though she is able to remain in contact with his ghost. Bob Balaban and Brian Kerwin co-star. Anthea Sylbert and Paula Weinstein exec produce the Spring Creek production. Claudia Weill directs from a script by Sylbert and Richard Romanus.
