Goodall finds role in ‘Difficult’

'Schindler's List' vet to star in mini

SYDNEY — Australian actress Caroline Goodall, internationally known from her roles in “Schindler’s List,” and the BBC TV drama “The Sculptress,” has won the title role in “A Difficult Woman,” a four-hour miniseries which rolls in Sydney May 18.

The L.A.-based thesp will limn a brilliant pathologist whose life is turned upside down when her best friend dies.

Produced by Sandy Levy for Southern Star and the Australian Broadcasting Corp., and directed by Tony Tilse, pic was funded by the Australian Film Finance Corp. (FFC). Southern Star will distribute globally.

Separately, Southern Star and the FFC announced they are backing “Siam Sunset,” an adventure-comedy about a paint-mixer who embarks on a tour of the outback after a refrigerator falls from a plane and kills his wife. Directed by John Polson, pic is produced by Artist Services, and written by Max Dann and Andrew Knight.
