ABC has yanked Columbia TriStar TV’s midseason drama “Push” after the drama fell to ABC’s lowest rating on record in the Monday 8 p.m.-9 p.m. timeslot.
With “Push” off the schedule, ABC has now pulled every new drama it launched this season. The Alphabet web had high hopes for the Columbia TriStar TV series about athletes, and sources at ABC say it may be relaunched this summer.
On Monday, “Push” fell to sixth place in overnight markets and at least fifth place in the nationals, behind UPN’s “The Love Boat.” The WB’s national ratings were not available. “Push” debuted to a 4.5/8 last week and fell to a 3.5/6 this week. Among adults 18-49, it rated a weak 1.6 Monday night.
Next week, ABC will put “America’s Funniest Home Videos” back into the Monday 8 p.m. timeslot.
Separately, NBC has renewed Carsey-Werner’s “3rd Rock From the Sun” for next season.
