‘High’ time for Gotham

October Films release brings over 600 to afterparty

More than 600 partygoers gathered at the Space in Chelsea to toast Lisa Cholodenko’s “High Art,” the October Films release that made its Gotham premiere June 4.

Following the opening night screening at the 10th New York Lesbian & Gay Film Festival in the New School’s Tishman Auditorium, guests segued to the bash sponsored by the Remy Martin Tastemaker Series.

Repping the film were October co-presidents John Schmidt and Bingham Ray, producers Dolly Hall, Susan Stover and Jeff Levy-Hinte, director Cholodenko and stars Ally Sheedy, Radha Mitchell and Patricia Clarkson.

Also on hand were “Velvet Goldmine” director Todd Haynes and producer Christine Vachon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris Noth, “54” director Mark Christopher, Reno, playwright Nicky Silver and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” star John Cameron Mitchell.
