HBO offered a sneak peek at its new comedy series “Sex and the City” Tuesday at the Sony 19th Street East Theater. On hand for the preview were HBO chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes and veepees of original programming Carolyn Strauss and Sarah Condon, “Sex” creator and exec producer Darren Star and co-exec producers Barry Jossen and Michael Patrick King.
Matthew Broderick escorted his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, who stars in “Sex” along with Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth and Ben Weber. Also attending were Candace Bushnell, whose book inspired the series, and Ron Galotti, known to Bushnell’s readers as “Mr. Big.”
Spotted at the party afterward at Lot 61 were Gaby Hoffman, Bret Easton Ellis, Andre Boccaletti, Brooke Shields, Timothy Olyphant and Diane von Furstenberg.
