A&E catches ‘Titanic’ wave

Boat docu becomes best-seller for company

Lest there be a day sans an item relating to “Titanic,” A&E Home Video reports that its documentary series “Titanic” has become the company’s bestselling docu ever on video, with sales of some 150,000 boxed sets.

Said David Walmsley, director of homevideo for A&E TV Networks: “We haven’t seen this type of sales phenomenon since we released our ‘Dinosaur’ series in conjunction with ‘Jurassic Park.’ ”

One can only imagine the clamor if A&E were to figure out a way to produce a docu series about dinosaurs trapped on a sinking ocean liner.
