HOLLYWOOD — Signaling an expansion, Kedar Entertainment has tapped a pair of execs for key appointments in the growing Gotham-based music outfit, which is perhaps best known as the home of Grammy-winning recording artist Erykah Badu.
Frank Fraley has been named chief financial officer for Kedar Entertainment, where the veteran accountant will oversee all financial matters for the company, while also participating in the hiring of new execs for the company.
Fraley, who was previously exec veep of National Realty Funding Mortgage Bank, will report to both Massenburg and Kojo Bentil, veep and G.M. of Kedar Entertainment.
Expanding its music publishing operation, the company tapped Shante Paige as director of publishing and production for Kedar Entertainment.
Paige will be charged with developing strategies to exploit the company’s music catalog, while assisting Massenburg with A&R duties on the record label side.
Kedar Entertainment album releases are distributed through Universal Records, where Massenburg is also a veep in addition to his CEO/chairman titles at Kedar.
“Frank has a solid finance and accounting background and Shante is a well regarded industry professional who will help us develop our expanding catalog,” Massenburg told Daily Variety.
Paige joins Kedar from Net2 where she was instrumental in the independent marketing and promotion for such acts as Jon B., Simone Hines and Chico DeBarge, the latter also a Kedar Entertainment recording artist.
