Seagal/Nasso Prods., which made its first market appearance at this year’s AFM, closed deals in more than a dozen territories on its slate of five upcoming films, according to prexy Phillip Goldfine.
The pics include the Steven Seagal-starrers “Genghis Kahn” and “Blood on the Moon,” plus “Cousin Joey,” “Most Likely To” and the specialized film “Not Even the Trees,” now in post-production.
Deals were finalized at the market for Germany (Highlight), the Netherlands (Indies Entertainment Group), Portugal (Lusomundo), Russia (Anideon Trading), Singapore (Cinestar), Taiwan (Spring), China (Focus Network), Turkey (Umut), Croatia (Blitz), Greece (Odeon), Middle East (Italia Film), Philippines (Sky Jemah Intl.) and Malaysia (Smile).
Additionally, Goldfine concluded distribution agreements in Japan for “Blood on the Moon” and “Cousin Joey” with Pony Canyon.
Gordon Steel of the Steel Co. was instrumental in arranging the deals for Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands and Taiwan, according to Goldfine.
