Col TriStar has ‘Splendor’

Acquires Oz, Latin, S. African rights to pic

Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group has acquired Australian, Latin American and South African rights to the Gregg Araki-helmed comedy “Splendor” from Summit Entertainment.

Pic, the story of a woman who is torn among three men, stars Kelly MacDonald, Kathleen Robertson, Johnathon Schaech, Matt Keeslar and Eric Mabius.

Producers are Damian Jones, Graham Broadbent and Araki. The Araki-scripted pic is in post-production.

“Splendor,” a Souvlaki Space Station production, is being co-financed by Summit and Newmarket Capital Group.

Other projects being backed by Summit include Mike Figgis’ “The Loss of Sexual Innocence.” Summit also handles international distribution for the slate of Artisan Entertainment.
