Shalhoub, Stowe in ‘Impostor’

Dimension sci-fier now lensing in L.A.

NEW YORK — Madeleine Stowe (“12 Monkeys”) and Tony Shalhoub (“Big Night”) will star in Dimension Films’ “Impostor,” which began lensing Saturday in Los Angeles.

Directed by Gary Fleder, “Impostor” is the second in a three-part anthology examining relationships between humans and aliens.

The first installment in the trilogy, “Alien Love Triangle” starring Kenneth Branagh, Courtney Cox and Heather Graham, was shot in London earlier this year.

The third segment in the series is in development.

“Impostor” will co-star Gary Sinise and Vincent D’Onofrio. Daniel Lupi is producing the segment.

“Impostor” was penned by Mark Protosevich, who adapted the script from a story by Philip K. Dick, author of the books upon which “Blade Runner” and “Total Recall” are based.

Dimension senior veepees of production Andrew Rona and Richard Potter will oversee “Impostor.”

Miramax senior VP of business and legal affairs Steven Hutensky repped Dimension in the negotiations, while Stowe and Shalhoub’s deals were made by UTA.
