Lambert to direct supernatural tale

Robinson set to produce

Mary Lambert, a film and television helmer, has inked to direct the Morgan Creek/Warner Bros. drama “In Between.” The project is prepared for an early 1999 start.

Sid Quashie scripted “Between,” a supernatural drama about a clairvoyant father whose second sight enables him to prevent his son’s fatal drowning, only to discover the danger of cheating death.

Lambert’s film credits include upcoming indie project “Clubland,” which Legacy has just picked up for release early next year; “Pet Sematary”; “Pet Sematary II”; and “Siesta.”

Television directing credits include “Face of Evil.” She broke into directing with musicvideos for recording artists such as Rod Stewart, Sting and Madonna.

Morgan Creek topper James Robinson will produce, with production head Jonathan Zimbert exec producing. Paul Young will co-produce.

Lambert’s deal was brokered by Abram Nalibotsky and David Gersh at the Gersh Agency, and attorney David Nachimson.
