HOLLYWOOD — William Fichtner, who helped save the world earlier this summer with Bruce Willis in “Armageddon,” has landed back on Earth with a starring role opposite Demi Moore in the Lakeshore/Paramount romantic drama “Passion of Mind.”
Alain Berliner (“Ma Vie En Rose”) is directing the pic, which is set to begin production Sept. 28 in New York and France.
In the Ron Bass-scripted film, Fichtner will play a love interest for Moore’s character, a woman whose existence seems to fluctuate between two parallel but separate lives. In one, she is a widowed American mother of two living in the South of France; in the other, she’s a single successful book editor in New York. “Passion” follows her journey to distinguish her real life and her dream life.
Fichtner will soon be seen starring opposite Jay Mohr and Katie Holmes in TriStar’s upcoming feature “Go!,” set for an early 1999 release. He also recently wrapped production on the indie feature “The Settlement,” with John C. Reilly and Kelly McGillis. Other feature credits include “Contact,” “Albino Alligator” and “Heat.”
Fichtner’s deal was brokered by his agent, Joe Rice of Abrams Artists, and manager John Carrabino of Gallin-Morey.
