Kummer’s new effect: medicine

F/x vet oversaw 'Titanic,' 'Dreams'

Animation and f/x veteran Edward Kummer, who’s served as vice president of digital operations at visual-effects house Digital Domain for the past 14 months, will be ankling to join startup medical software company GenSys Software.

At Digital Domain, Kummer oversaw f/x work on numerous film projects, including “Titanic,” “Red Corner,” “Kundun,” “Armageddon” and the recently opened “What Dreams May Come.”

Kummer went to Digital after a long career at Disney, where he was responsible for computer animation technology and a broad range of business and management matters for Mouse facilities in Orlando, Paris and Los Angeles.
