Hollywood Film Festival founder Carlos de Abreu has announced the nominees for this year’s Hollywood CyberAwards, a contest focusing on excellence in the World Wide Web’s entertainment-related sites.
Winners will receive their prizes on Aug. 10 during a ceremony at the BevHilton Hotel, at the conclusion of the five-day festival. The selection committee included representatives of a service provider, an Internet service provider, a public relations firm and a Web design company. Content, design and functionality were the guiding ideals.

Last year, “You Don’t Know Jack” (www.bezerk.com) was named best entertainment Web site. It was put together by musician and digital pioneer Graham Nash.
Awards in several other categories are also planned for the fest’s final night.
