The Writers Guild of America will hold informational meetings Tuesday and Thursday in New York and Los Angeles for members interested in upcoming contract talks.
“Air your views, state your priorities,” members on the East Coast were told in a letter. “We assure you we will listen.”
The letter said a committee on negotiations, composed of members from both coasts, had been appointed to “review and examine where the guild is now and the events which led us here” and to “consider what actions to take.”
The guild’s contract with producers expires May 2.
“We want to hear what you have to say about what you want in a new contract and the priorities you assign to different goals,” the letter said.
The informational meetings will be held at the guild’s offices in New York, at 555 West 57th Street, Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m.; and in L.A., at 7000 West Third Street, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday at 8 p.m.
