Warner Bros. syndie sales vet Dan Greenblatt has been promoted to executive VP and general sales manager for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
Greenblatt, who has been elevated from senior veepee, is credited with mapping out the high-volume off-network sales strategy for the studio that has long held the crown as TV’s largest supplier of network series.
Greenblatt has spearheaded sales efforts for such WB off-net fare as “Friends,” “The Drew Carey Show,” “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Martin” and “Step by Step.”
He has also been a key player in sales of WB’s firstrun strips, including “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” “Jenny Jones,” “Extra” and “The People’s Court.” Greenblatt reports to Scott Carlin, exec VP of WBDTD.
Prior to joining WBDTD in January 1994, Greenblatt held high-ranking syndie sales posts with Paramount and Fox’s Twentieth TV.
