Rob Gallagher has joined Cyd LeVin & Associates to head a newly formed literary department, repping writers, directors and producers for features and television. Gallagher will also produce and package projects in concert with the inhouse talent department. Prior to joining LeVin, Gallagher was head of literary for Messina Baker, and has agented with Major Clients and APA. He has also served as vice president of development for Ivy Management.
Singer-songwriter Lionel Richie has hired new managers, John Reid of John Reid Enterprises and Melanie Green of Melanie Green Management.
Riley Weston, a young writer/producer/actress, has signed with UTA for representation. Weston’s credits include a staff writer post on the new Warner Bros. TV drama “Felicity,” as well as guest acting spots on sitcoms “3rd Rock From the Sun” and “Who’s the Boss?” and lead roles in indie films “Heavy Heart” and “Scraps.” She’s managed by Brad Sexton at Select Artists.
Pam Brady, a comedy writer/producer, has also signed with UTA. She’s currently a co-producer on NBC’s “Just Shoot Me.” Other credits include “The John Larroquette Show.” Brady’s lawyer is Robert Offer.
Elana Barry has joined UTA as an agent in the television literary department. She will handle UTA’s roster of TV writers and producers for both TV and film representation. Barry comes to UTA from Innovative Artists, where she was also a TV literary agent. She began her career in the mailroom at ICM.
Actor/writer/surfer Matt George, star and co-writer of recent TriStar surfing feature “In God’s Hands,” has signed with the Raw Talent management company, where he’ll be repped by Doug Wald and Glenn Robbins. George was previously a top-ranked competitive surfer and is a former senior editor of Surfing Magazine, and is also co-creator and star of the upcoming NBC surf-themed action drama “Wind on Water.” He’ll continue to be repped by attorney Bob Myman.
Actor Tim Matheson (“The Brady Bunch”) has signed with Beth Cannon at B&B Entertainment for management after leaving Connie Tavel Management. Matheson continues to be repped by CAA.
Actress Lisa Rinna (“Melrose Place”) has also signed with B&B Entertainment.
