Premiere Radio Networks, distribber of syndie radio powerhouses Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura Schlessinger, has promoted Kraig T. Kitchin to the new post of chief operating officer.

Kitchin will oversee all aspects of the Sherman Oaks, Calif., based company’s operations, in addition to spearheading sales efforts for the 60-odd radio programs syndicated nationally by Premiere.

Kitchin, formerly exec VP, has been a senior exec with Premiere since its inception in 1987. The distrib is now owned by radio giant Jacor Communications, whose station holdings include L.A.’s highly rated KIIS-FM. Kitchin reports to Premiere prexy and CEO Steve Lehman.

Before joining Premiere, Kitchin worked as sales manager for the Katz Radio Group in Los Angeles. He also served stints as a station manager for WFMK-FM Lansing, Mich., and KTYD-FM in Santa Barbara, Calif.
