Joe Abrams is joining Pearson Television Intl. as exec VP starting June 1.
The veteran international exec has worked in both feature and television distribution and production, having started his career in 1978 with CBS, where he held various sales, creative and financial positions with the CBS Broadcast Group.
Abrams also had stints in the ’80s with Columbia Pictures Television and MGM/UA and joined CapCities/ABC in 1990 as president of ABC Distribution. At the network he had responsibility for the worldwide licensing of all ABC-owned entertainment, news and sports programming.
Most recently, Abrams established his own production company which is developing projects based on the various works of British entertainer Noel Coward.
