NBC Entertainment has named Debbie Teicher director of miniseries and motion pictures for television, and NBC Studios has promoted Gwen Potiker from manager to director of miniseries and motion pictures for television.
Teicher previously served in a similar role at NBC Studios, supervising several longform projects, including “Cloned” and “I’ve Been Waiting for You,” as well as the primetime series “Malibu Shores.” She will report to Lindy DeKoven, exec VP of miniseries and motion pictures for television at NBC Entertainment, and of longform programming at NBC Studios.
Prior to working at NBC Studios, Teicher was manager of longform programming at NBC Entertainment. She joined NBC in 1993 as an assistant to DeKoven after spending several years as an entertainment publicist.
In her new position, Potiker will continue to work with VP Angela Bromstad on the development and production of NBC Studios longform projects, includ-ing “Getty,” “Crime, Inc.” and the “Prime-Time Crime” series.
Potiker joined NBC Studios in October 1997 as manager, miniseries and motion pictures for television, reporting to Bromstad. Potiker previously served as a creative exec at New Line Television.
