While we won’t know for certain until May, buzz among TV movie producers is that CBS is seriously considering bringing back its Tuesday movie franchise next season. Dramas and newsmags haven’t helped the Eye web Tuesdays this year, and CBS is good at making made-fors. From 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. this season, CBS is down 29% in homes and 36% in adults 18-49 from the same period last year with a movie. While CBS contemplates adding a movie, Fox may scrap its Tuesday movie franchise in favor of series. Fox’s Tuesday movie hasn’t been a ratings grabber, and the web may opt to do a few select “event” movies during sweeps rather than a regular weekly film franchise.

Even if “Simpsons” holdout voice Hank Azaria isn’t able to agree on a new contract to return to the Fox series for a 10th season, he’ll still have at least one regular voiceover gig to fall back on.
It turns out that Azaria, the voice of such characters as Apu, Moe and Chief Wiggum on “The Simpsons,” has also served as the uncredited voice of an on-air promo campaign for Atlanta Braves baseball on TBS since last season. And he just cut 20 new spots for this season last week.
Just what Fox chairman Rupert Murdoch needs: Turner Broadcasting boss Ted Turner lending a helping financial hand to Rupe’s unhappy campers.
