Hamdon Entertainment, a leading distributor of TV movies abroad, has inked an exclusive distribution agreement with Seven Summits Pictures and Management.
Over the next four years, Hamdon will have exclusive global distribution rights to telepics produced by Seven Summits, which represents actors, writers, directors and composers. Seven Summits’ clients include Golden Globe nominee Joey Lauren Adams, Judge Reinhold, Diana Venora, Penn & Teller and Marleen Gorris, among others.
“The intriguing thing about Seven Summits is that they not only produce high-quality longforms, but they can also package projects with talent they represent,” Hamdon chief executive officer Stephen Davis told Daily Variety Tuesday.
Seven Summit principals William Blaylock and Sarah Jackson also disclosed Monday that they have formed a strategic alliance with producer Guy Reidel to develop and produce longform projects for network and cable. Most recently, Reidel produced HBO’s pic “Breast Man.”
Telefilms to be jointly developed and produced by Seven Summits and Reidel will be announced shortly.
Hamdon Entertainment is a joint venture between Britain’s Carlton Communications and Germany’s Studio Hamburg. It boasts a library of more than 110 telefilms and now represents 14 U.S. production entities abroad, including Harpo Films, Randwell, and Wild Rice as well as Seven Summits.
