Julie Fields has been named head of marketing for E! Entertainment’s Style network, which launches Oct. 1. Her appointment completes the top-tier executive structure of the network.
In her new post, Fields will co-manage Style with Marta Tracy, the network’s recently appointed head of programming. Fields reports to Dale Hopkins, senior VP of marketing, E! Entertainment Televison.
Fields will oversee all marketing efforts on behalf of Style, including advertising, promotions, public relations and corporate identity. She has already spearheaded the development of “What Is Style,” a one-hour spec that offers viewers of E! an opportunity to see what the new network has to offer. The spec will air throughout September on E!.
For the past five years, Fields was VP, creative services, at E!, where she was responsible for developing the network’s distinctive image as well as supervising the art direction of the network’s Web site E! Online. She joined E! in 1992 as director of creative services.
