Divine Hammer in Telepictures pact

To provide programming in variety of genres

Producers Scott St. John and Kathy Cotter, partners in Divine Hammer Prods., have signed a two-year, first-look deal with Telepictures Prods.

Deal calls for Divine Hammer to develop programming in a range of genres, primarily for the syndie and cable markets. St. John, co-creator of Fox’s notorious syndie dating gameshow “Studs,” has also been tapped to serve as an exec producer and the showrunner on Telepictures/Warner Bros.’ syndie strip “Change of Heart,” to bow this fall.

Apart from the newly inked deal with Telepictures, St. John and Cotter are producing the new comedy series “Faux Pause” for the Game Show Network cabler. Pair also has a sitcom project in development with Fox Television Studios.

In addition to “Studs,” St. John’s TV credits include creating and hosting the short-lived Tribune Entertainment gameshow “Swaps.” Cotter served as an exec producer of the Fox syndie gameshow “Liars.”

Divine Hammer’s deal with Telepictures was brokered by United Talent Agency’s Chris Coelen and Al Hassas.
